Empowering women and children through better health

Overall Impact:
These factors contribute to malnutrition and hinder community progress, underscoring the urgent need for intervention.
Nurturing Health and Empowerment
In 2023, in collaboration with the Heights and Mind Foundation, FFEC launched Project Buniyaad. This initiative addresses early childhood malnutrition, empowers women, and reduces stunting among newborns in Trilokpuri. By integrating community engagement, education, and technology, Project Buniyaad is building a foundation for healthier families and sustainable development.
Transforming Lives With Project Buniyaad

Comprehensive Surveys
An in-depth survey of 70 women revealed a 53.6% literacy rate—showing progress but highlighting the need for inclusive education—and only 12.9% contribute to family income, underscoring their resilience amid financial constraints.

Nutrition & Health Workshops
At the new MindUp Women’s Center, workshops educated mothers on balanced diets during pregnancy, the importance of micronutrients, and practical cooking demonstrations.

Leveraging Technology
In 2024, a digital health monitoring app was introduced to track children’s growth every 100 days. This tool enabled timely malnutrition interventions, improving outcomes for 69 pregnant women and 51 infants.

Linking Social Protection Schemes
Buniyaad connected women to vital initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, benefiting 30 women in 2024 and enhancing financial security and maternity support.

Eye Care Camps
In partnership with Accura Eye Care Hospital, the annual eye exam camp in 2024 reached 103 community members. Seventy-seven individuals were identified with poor eyesight, and 23 received glasses.
Project Buniyaad has
- Raised community awareness on nutrition and health.
